The Runaways

So, The Runaways... One of my favorite comics in the Marvel Universe.

Summery:

A Group of unsuspecting children all knowing each other since birth discover a terrible secret about their parents. They parents, are not only an evil crime party known as "The Pride" they use they're Gifts or Superpowers to spread and enforce their hold over Malibu, and the state of California.

The Pride
- The Wilder's (Power hungry Mob bosses)
    -Son: Alex Wilder(The Oldest)
- The Yorkes' (Time-Traveling Genius')
    -Daughter: Gertrude Yorkes
- The Steins' (Mad-Scientists involved in making powerful weapons)
    -Son: Chase Stein
- The Dean's (Aliens with unearthly powers)
    -Daughter: Karolina Dean
- The Haynes' (Telepathic Mutants)
    -Daughter: Molly Haynes(The youngest)
- The Minoru's (Dark Wizards)
    -Daughter: Nico Minoru

Very soon after their discovery of their parents, they find that they share similar traits.

Alex is a gifted strategist and Manipulator and becomes leader of the little gang of newly discovered Heroes.

Gert becomes acquainted with a Dinosaur who she names "Old Lace" after discovering that she has a psychic connection to it.

Chase finds his parents lab in a shed in the backyard and finds that even though he is more of a jock he is able to master their equipment with ease.

Karolina finds that her power is that she is an Alien with the power to fly, she becomes also more powerful when the sun is up.

Molly has mutant super strength a gift discovered(before puberty, oh fun.)

Nico shares the dark magic that her parents are so adept at, but even born with a gift it still takes practice.


So to continue on, and instead of up holding their families vicious legacy... They become Heroes instead of Villains and flee their parents and California.

I tried not to give too much of the plot away... Like the main storyline-line. Anyway...

I found this awesome artist, shown above and it reminded me how much I love those comics.
